In addition to lecture notes summarizing the chapters of the text by Andrew Heywood, a number of articles pulled from the Internet have been posted here solely to stimulate your thinking.
Please do not interpret the presence of any article here as constituting either support or agreement with the author's ideas.

In most of the following sections, I have provided chapter summaries/lecture notes derived from another textbook. When citing parenthetically use the following format (Hulliung and Macridis 1996, 56). Then in the bibliography paste the following:
